About MBBA

Merrymeeting Bay Business Association was founded as a non-profit membership organization in 1997 as Communities of Merrymeeting Bay Business Association. Our goal is to promote the region´s economic prosperity and community development while maintaining the unique character of our local communities, Dresden, Richmond, Bowdoinham and Bowdoin. Our communities are close to a major Interstate highway, possess modern communications infrastructure, are populated with an educated and dedicated work force, have areas designated for the development of business and have other areas for access to the natural beauty of its rivers and Merrymeeting Bay. We enjoy a delightful place to live, work, and play. We are dedicated to a responsible balance between development and environment; we are committed to maintain the sense of "community" among our citizens; and we strive to continue with the special "way of life" of our rural towns.

The Merrymeeting Bay Business Association is active in promoting networking among its members and others, sponsoring educational sessions on topics of interest to members, conducting forums for legislators and civic officials to further the interests of its members and representing the interests of its members with other development organizations.
