These days it seems as though everyone talking about social networking web sites:
FaceBook, LinkedIn, MySpace, and Twitter are mentioned in the news and by stars and
political figures. What is this phenomenon called "social networking" and can it be
of any benefit to the small business?
On April 16th, Scheherazade Mason and Sarah Paul, Career Coaches from Bowdoin College,
joined us for a very special After Hours and present a “show and tell” session to
help us understand who in the world is using tools like LinkedIn and Twitter, what
companies and individuals are doing with these services, and why social networking is
an important tool making connections in professional circles as well as personal.
Here are the links that Sherry mentioned during the session...
1) LinkedIn: www.linkedin.com (Please feel free to add
either of us (search by name) as a contact if you would like!)
2) Facebook: www.facebook.com
3) Twitter: www.twitter.com (my username is
“sherryfm” and Sarah's is “sarahkp” if you want to keep track of
what we are up to.)
4) How to control privacy settings on Facebook:
