Meet Your Local Farmers Thursday May 28th 5-6:30 PM

The Merrymeeting Bay Business Association (MBBA) along with the Town of Bowdoinham Dept of Community and Economic Development would like to invite you to the Merrymeeting Grange Hall for an informal gathering of Local Farmers and Grange Hall representatives.

5pm-6:30pm Merrymeeting Grange Hall, 27 Main Street, Bowdoinham

There will be appetizers using fresh Bowdoinham ingredients prepared by the Bowdoinham Community School Food Freaks Program and an opportunity to learn more about many great agricultural activities in Bowdoinham:

• Talk with the vendors of the Bowdoinham Farmers Market and hear what is planted in the fields and what will be available at the market.
• Learn about the Grange their involvement in the community
• Bowdoinham Sprouts - A Youth Entrepreneur Opportunity with the farmers' market
• Food Freaks - Bowdoinham Community School program for K-5
• Representative from the Maine Farm Enterprise School
• Information on University of Maine Cooperative Ext. food preservation courses.

The market will be opening Saturday, May 23, and will be open every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. through the end of October. See you at the market.
